As the leading Minneapolis endocrinology clinic, we believe in Patient Centered Care, which is defined by the Institute of Medicine as “Providing care that is respectful of, and responsive to, individual patient preferences, needs, and values, and ensuring that patient values guide all clinical decisions.”
Dr. Schuster has seen over 10,000 patients treated for various diagnoses, in his almost 40 years of experience as a private practice endocrinologist.
Among the disorders Dr. Schuster sees patients for are the following: thyroid disorders including, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, Graves’ disease, thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, goiters, multinodular thyroid glands, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis; adrenal disorders, including Addison’s Disease and Cushing’s syndrome; pituitary disorders and tumors, including acromegaly and hyperprolactinemia; and polycystic ovary syndrome and other gonadal disorders.
During your endocrine consultative evaluation, the staff will greet you, take your vital signs and orient you to the clinic. Then Dr. Schuster will review your records, and he will consider your current symptoms and endocrine problems. You will have a physical examination by Dr. Schuster and he will order those laboratory studies and radiological studies that are needed for the diagnosis and treatment of your endocrine disorder. When the results of your studies are available, you will then return to discuss the diagnoses and therapeutic options with Dr. Schuster. Established patients with known diagnoses and a treatment plan in place may receive their test results and instructions over the phone.
